Chinese New Year Eve 2009

Morning .. it is 6am, its CNY eve and it is Sunday ... it doesn't matter to me as I m awake by 5am, anyway. I m used to it to wake up early to listen to Bloomberg Financial news .... but now I m listning to Hitz.Tv instead. Enjoy ...

Estrella's Stay is playing now ... this local band is not bad, but the songs just not really my taste. Prefer the song they played just now ... Akon's Dangerous. Hehe.

One Republic's Say All I Need is very good ... I remembered that I played the song "Stop and Stare" during the Leadership Camp last year when the whole Malaysians started to listen to their "Apologise"? Apologise's lyric is NOT really 'good' or relevent, actually. It is never too late to apologise, actually ...

Simple Plan's Your Love Is a Lie ... Hmm ... I like Simple Plan!! Many of their songs, indeed.

Jesse's Leavin'? The sexy lady showing her long legs? The MV is boring and cheap, but I m not sure how much they pay the lady to expose her body. Haha. Well, it sells, right?

Live Your Live by T.I ... I like T.I's songs generally. Rihanna? From a 'simple' singer, now one of the hottest babe.

Pink's So What ... she is a funny "lady". Haha ... Her Family Portrait is my fav.

One Block Radius's You Got Me .. hmm ... not my taste la. But a part of the rap is good!!

Haha .. Katy Perry's Hot N Cold. haha. PMS like a bitch ... haha.

We The King --- Check Yes Juliet. This is more of my taste-si la .. hehe.

BS - Break The Ice. Britney is grown up since her Baby, Give Me one More Time ... I first listen to her first album more than 10 years ago?

Always On Time --- JA Rule(ft Ashanti)

OK ... time for breakfast.

12.05 pm : Please VISIT my "Happy New Year" post at http://cpteh.blogspot.com/ and laugh it out. lol. Money won't buy you happiness. Ask those unhappy ones during HAPPY CNY. Hehe

許冠傑 Sam Hui - 学生哥

Ah SAM is certainly a 'legend' in the 80s where his songs are very light and we could laugh about it(if u hv sense of humour la ... those above 40s, I feel sorry for most of u that you lost the 'child' in you ... GET A LIFE, listen to Jay or Linkin Park might help, I hope! Haha).

Anyway, SAM's songs ... I have huge collection of his songs and some are classic!! Enjoy!!

The 80's Chinese Hits - Female

林憶蓮 愛上一個不回家的人 <--- My fav Sandy Lam's song.

The Doha Debates

I want to draw many to http://www.dohadebates.com/ and you can watch it at channel 512(BBC) over Astro. If you need to get yourself Educated, do look into this interesting dabate.

Motion: This House believes that political Islam is a threat to the West

The next debate will be at 15th Feb. Malaysia, as an Islamic country might be seen as 'extremist' too by the West. We are not. We are multi-racial peaceful country. We, the non-Islam do have many Muslim friends. We share many similar ideologies tho we may be very difficult in our religious beliefs.

I do hope more of our so-called educated non-Muslims graduates WILL read to understand more on what is going on in Israel and Palestine ... the Gaza strip.

Non sane educated CHINESE will be wanted to be educated about the political and religion struggles in Middle-East. What do I get from knowing of such knowledge? Nothing much to do about $$$ or career advancements, of coz. But ... it is purely for the thrist of KNOWLEDGE and a wish to be more educated ...

A student of mine wanting to collect some donations for the Palestinians. God bless him. Gaza ceasefire. Children are going back to schools, finally.

Mag, my wife

Magdalene Goh : This was taken at Miri Airport, when we were back from Alor Star/Penang.

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR, Mag-Mag.

Thinking Allowed?

Morning ... I was a big-fan of Aliran. I don't miss an issue and in fact get myself politically involved(1994-1998) with many of ISSUES related to our government and with NGOs. Anyway, there was a column "Thinking Allowed" in the 'magazine' where it excites me.

You see, being a THINKING human and concern about the 'stupidity' surrounds me, this is a place where I could share with many intellectuals about ideas or thoughts where we could voice-out our opinions about ISSUES intellectually. And we will discussed how we could contribute for the betterment of situations, as the whole.

After a year of being a contributor to that segment, I was so glad that they organised a gathering for those like-minded to have an INTELLECTUAL discourse. I travelled to Penang(Aliran HQ is in Penang) and met about 30-50 professionals with similar interests and brain-waves. Few still in-touch with me and I appreciate such a human, articulate and determine. Unfortunately, these individuals are rare species in this modernised and materialistic(capitalism) world.

NGOs --- there were not too many of them 15 yrs ago, and only a few very active ones. Some are international-based organisations.

Pink Triangle - http://www.ptfmalaysia.org/ <--- click here to get yourself a little educated about what they do there.

AIDS was 'introduced' to our ignorant public ... when generally public will think of AIDS as a terminally-illed diease(only half correct, actually). So, public will shun those with 'AIDS'. In fact, to the extent that this 'patients' being isolated from public. We are talking about those with degrees or higher, ok? Thinking allowed?

If they are educated ENOUGH, they will certainly try to find out more about it, rather than merely talking about it over tea-time. And talking about it will NOT make the situation any better. We need to EDUCATE our public. See?

This is a HUGE challenge as we have recognised that our naive Malaysia society are un-educated in many aspects. Not until ONE of their friends or loved ones 'contracted' with the diease, they will still be talking about it as a casual usual conversation. These I called NOISES. Empty vessels make the most noise.

If you ask them about WHAT they have contributed, they might brush you off to cover their in-adequencies. Afterall, they are a DEGREE holder without KNOWLEDGE about what they are speaking about --- AIDS. Some even confuse between AIDS and HIV. Marina Mahathir ... heard of her, right? She is fighting for this good cause even when AIDS was not widely spread in Malaysia. The statistic has increased since then, of course.

To clear another un-informed information to our naive public, MOST of the AIDS patients are drug-abusers, NOT only through any sexual activities. Gayism not heard of 20-years ago. Yet, the stats surely didn't take into account of those unreported cases. Tell me ... HOW will you educate our public about ... say, AIDS?

If thinking are NOT allowed, Pink Triangle(then, forming of AIDS council) could not sustain their GOOD cause. Of coz Marina, being PM daughter, is a very strong lady. One of the respectable Malaysian for her sacrifices to see her vision carried out. Shaking hands with her during a PM's Raya open house will NOT be sufficiently enough to boast that you know her strengths. I will recommend our WOMEN to model her PASSION. Hats-off, Marina. Knowing you have let me see a woman's strength, in the male-dominated world. As you are as critical, yet humble tho your dad are the most prominent leader in our Malaysia history.

任賢齊 - 心太軟

Yes, my main weakness ... too soft-heartened <---(I know the grammatical error here, ok? Please don't come in and read others blog to correct them. You think I teach English thru blog, ar? Haha) .
.
天涯 <--- I definite prefer this number ... one of my fav by Richie. I like the background music a lot, showing that I m a CHINESE. haha .
.
